Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Empididae Phyllodromia melanocephala?

Hi,

This was approx. 3mm long, a female I guess. Taken on 21st June on Primrose leaves, where I found many interesting tiny flies!

A few miles south of Lincoln UK.

Uploading 4 pics, one with a springtail which she had pounced on while taking pics.

Done! I had to trim them and resize three times (to small) to get the total bytes to fit, even though I had the file size within limits. I haven't uploaded the pic with the springtail as it wasn't all well focused (surprise!) but if you want it I can do.

I like the springtail one better than the frontal shot (which I deleted because I thought it was too poor in the condition it was submitted).

OK, will see what I can do with that one! Ye, when a fly is only 3mm long the head tends to be a bit small.:o:D
