Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Stomoxys calcitrans ?

Date: 02.10.09
Size: about 7 mm ?

Are there any similar flys? Or could it only be Stomoxys calcitrans?

This is indeed Stomoxys calcitrans, the only one with such a long proboscis. Other stomoxini (Haematobia, Haematobosca) have a well smaller proboscis.
