Hi!
A 6-7 mm Tachinidae from mint flowers last week near a lime quarry (northwest Germany). Can it be IDed?

Topcel is open, so it can't be Estheria (if from Central Europe).
Must be Dinera, most likely ferina, in which case you must have underestimated its size ?

On two pictures in the link I posted above you can see the size in comparison with an
Eristalis female. Can't be much over 7 mm...

Yes, it was not that large.
@Andre: I did not write
tenax, because I also saw some
Eristalis that day at the same place, which looked like
tenax, but had rather light fore tarsi:
