Would be nice to see some different angles - especially dorsal - something showing wing venation and the body & head in more detail :)

Thx - in general a black background looks very artistic but with flies like this you loose a huge amount of detail - such as bristles and the arista on the antennae. I'd guess it was from the family Tachinidae, from the general appearance and length of antennae ... but without more information I wouldn't like to say for sure :)

Thanks. You can click the image for a 1000 pixel image. The bg was black because there's nothing behind the fly and the only light was from the flash. Too dark for natural light shot in the jungle. If there fly was on a leaf, it'd hv been possible to avoid black bg :)
