Thread subject: Diptera.info :: black tachinidae -> Nyctia halterata (Sarcophagidae)

Hello,

this remarkable black tachinidae (or rhinophoridae?) is from july from near Neuss (west germany). It was about 6 oder 7mm long. Can it be identified?

I think it's a female Nyctia halterata (Sarcophagidae).

Hello Stephane,

thank you for your answer. Nyctia halterata fits very good. In the gallery I overlooked it, because the specimen there has much clearer wings.
