Is this a hoverfly? the wing is so long compare to the normal type..

This was taken from highland located at Pahang, Malaysia.

No, Pipunculidae.

My guess is Cephalops (Cephalops) spec. (a male) but a closer examination is necessary to be sure about this.

Hi Shunfa,

With closer examination I meant a dissection of the genitalia. Unfortunately there is not much information available on Oriental Pipunculidae.

Understandable, cause this family is closely related to the Syrphidae family.
