Hello!

A nightly 4 mm fly from our house (northwest Germany) some days ago. Is it a Fannia male? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! But shouldn't there be some orange at its sides?

the photo is rather dark that's why I told "it seems". Yes, F. cannicularis male has orange patches at the sides in the abdomen.

It is an Anthomyiidae : the A1 vein seems to reach the wing margin, at least it well too long for any Fanniidae.

Thanks again, Stephane! So I'll put it to the *big* folder of not identifiable Anthomyiids... :|
