Last week I parked my car under a tilia tree and when i came back it was full of little black flies. Maybe the flies have nothing to do with the tree but where just attracted by the silver color of my car, but I would like to know who was it?
Here's the picture.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris - where in the world are you? :)

It's a female Dilophus sp. - you can tell from the shape (which points to female Bibionidae) and the front tibia has a ring of spikes - Dilophus :)
