All help much appreciated

Very nice - looks like Bithia spreta - usually a rare fly but it seems to be having a good year this year - or there are just more people looking for them :)

BTW, where did you see it? Can you PM me the full data for our records?

Many thanks Chris :)

Having looked at more pics it's certainly not right for Mintho. Will PM you record details

Hi,

Hmm.. Legs predominantly yellow, no discal bristles on T3 and T4? How about Solieria?

ahhhhh... I think you are right Jaakko ... I must be going "Bithia"-mad, after finding a few here ... Solieria would be much more likely and I think there are 2 pairs of scutellars so it would seem correct :)

Just checked a higher res image and there are certainly two pairs of scutellar bristles - Solieria sp it is - many thanks everyone :)
