Lucilia (female) seems right, but if I've understood older forum discussions correctly L caesar should have only two pairs of postsutural acrostichal setae, and this seems to have three. Have I got this right?

Stephen.

Stephen: you have understood correctly. L caesar can sometimes have 3 but if it does it only has 3 on one side in my experience, and 2 on the other. I expect the occasional specimen turns up with 3 pairs, so always worth keeping in the back of the mind.

Andre: I can't tell from this photo what species you have (although I suspect L sericata).
