Difficult case, but my guess would be
Phaonia palpata, a male.

Is there anything that is out of view that would make ID certain?
This guy won't go anywhere. It's still on my desk.

I use to find this species : 3 post dc, legs black with yellow tibiae, rather slender abdomen for a Phaonia, and I think I can see, not presutural strong acrostichals, but elongate hair like this species often have. If you can confirm this later point (or provide a dorsal view) as the presence of a posterior seta on fore tibia I would be pretty confident.

I hope this is what you need.
And I promise to study excatly what you are asking in the morning.
So that I have learned something too.
jorgemotalmeida: No sign of reanimation yet :)

Sorry for being stupid :|
Acrostichals visible here, right? Don't know if they are presutural though.

They are visible and like I hoped, and the fore tibia's got a p. seta.
Thanks, it is quite consistent with
P. palpata. :)
