Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Bombyliidae species???

Hello, my first time here on diptera, so please forgive me if I posted this message on the wrong place.
But is it possible to determinate the following insect??

From wing venation I'ld say, yes Bombyliidae. But I think some photo from above would be very useful if not plain necessary for an ID attempt. Also, it is good practive to indicate the where and when!

Hello Cor, thnx fot giving me a reply.
In my enthousiasm I frequently forget to make a picture from above.
I'll putt another picture from another angly.
Pictures wkere taken over the border of the Netherlands in Germany near Aken.

OK, 'near Aken' probably rules out a lot!
I'm thinking about
Villa spec., but wait for David Gibbs, he's the expert on Bombylids!

On waarneming.nl they said also villa sp. but gave me the advice to post on diptera:)
So therefore I made the effort to do so.
Now I'll wait with patience

looks like
Villa but not identfiable to species without specimen (true for most
Villa)
