Hello,

Is it possible to say which Empididae this is?
Picture is made today in the south of the Netherlands. It was very tiny for a Empididae and they always flew on Calluna vulgaris as you can see on the picture.

So maybe it's Empis serotina? I can find nothing about this fly.

Regards, Arno

Hi,
This is Hybotidae: Hybos, should be culiciformis [female].
Best regards.
