Shot this cool fly in my usual macro spot in Gasing Hill, Petaling Jaya/Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Found many of these on the sandy area by a stream.

Sorry I can't say what it is, but what a terrific fly! Perhaps you could post to the gallery as a Teleopsis species?

No, only Diopsidae sp.

These flies really deserve collecting and You could send some to a specialists! Absolutely awesome picture! Really nice, that the white stripe is not over-lightened!
