Mesnois, France Jura, alt 400 m. Meadow for grazing, lots of Daucus and Red Clover.

When I saw this medium sized (ca 8 mm) Tachinid, I was immediately drawn to its golden yellow face - something I never saw before in Tachnids. Also, the calypter is yellow-rimmed. No idea whether that's special, but I just noticed.
