Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae, Linnaemya species?

The Netherlands, Havelte. 8 aug 2009.

Looks like Linnaemya vulpina, but i don't see the two proclinate bristles on the forehead.
Is it a male L. vulpina - or different species perhaps?

The bent in M-vein shortly beyond crossvein m-cu fits in th picture fore Linnaemya

Looks like Linnaemyia vulpina too - projecting mouth edge, hairy eyes, yellow basicosta, orange femur. :)

Yes, it is a male (of vulpina).
Note the somewhat elongated pulvilli (never so in females)
