For an ID almost every time You should collect (for sp). Many times a genus ID requires wing veination, genitalia, etc. Try to include 'scuttle fly' in name of thread, sometimes Brian Brown shows up, he asked for that
here.

Never seen such a Phorid (well, I only saw some 4-5 genera, but those are extremely common).
