Can't get anywhere with this one - it was distant and sat in a tree, so poor photos.

Looks nearly a Muscid, which would suggest Macquartia.
Hairs on occiput seem all black, apical scutellar bristles ?, only 3 post DC, all of this consistent with Macquartia.

Still, I'd love to see the head in profile to be more confident.

Time to get out the really bad photos...

these may not help, but they're the only ones I got showing the face at all, as I said it was distant.

Well, it convinces me of Macquartia.
Species ? Possibly dispar.

Thanks Theo, that's the second Macquartia probably dispar at the site - still not seen the male.
