I have this this fly named maculata:

But after seeing a larger similar fly the other day, I looked into the possibility that my fly might be G. minor. And now of course I'm just confused.
The fly in the pic is slightly less than 10mm.
Can someone id, and explain why?
I have more pics if it is necessary.

Graphomya minor has a small antero-dorsal seta on mid tibia, which is not always easy to distinguish on a picture. The middle white presutural vitta is also less conspicuous than
G. maculata's one.
