I was sent this picture of a Tachina from a colleague in Norfolk. I suspect it's Tachina fera, but the legs seem rather dark. Can someone remind me how to separate fera and magnicornis?
Thanks

It's not particularly rare in the south of england - under a line drawn between Lincolnshire and Bristol, for instance. I get them in my garden every year, fairly commonly, however I think it is easy for people to under record Nowickia because they look superficially similar to T.fera :)
