This photo is from South America. It was taken by A. Lopes. Could this beast be a Leschenaultia sp. ?

This fly is so cool that I wouldn't even mind if it parasitised humans!

The fly is realy very cool but, as I saw recently a larva of Papilio machaon being completely eviscerated by tachinid larvae, I must disagree:(.

you don't care if an oestrid larvae would parasite you... :P
