Hello,
is this fly a Notiphila sp.? I found it beginning of June near the river Mosel. Length was about 6mm.

How can you distinguish them? A good question. Just get a lot of experience (which I obviously still lack:|) by identifying material upto family level with the key of Pjotr Oostenbroek.
