This tiny fly was between 3-4 mm long.
Sorry about the quality of the photo, there are limitations of my equipment when it comes to that small subjects.
Is it possibe to id? and maybe the victim too?

I'm pretty sure this isn't Asilidae but an Empididae or Hybotidae. I don't think any Asilids have holoptic eyes for one thing, also that thoracic humps recalls Hybotidae.

Thank you, I keep proving my lack of diptera-understanding..
