Chrysops is something I haven't seen before. July 2.2009 Loviisa, Finland.

Since the markings on tergite 2 vary between spp., could you post a photo showing dorsal view?

No doubt, it is an aberrant caecutiens with a transparent window in the wings.
It should not be there, but it happens.

Hi, thank You again. It looked strange for me. I took the dorsal picture too, but the specimen is not so fresh anymore :(
