Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Cecidomyiidae? oops, Chironomidae (male)

juergen peters from insektenforum.de told me (in much nicer words) that he doesn't touch Cecidomyiidae with a stick, and i'm not even sure this is one. it's tiny (probably not much longer than 1mm), from a leaf at the edge of a park in cologne, germany. any chances to narrow this down? :)

arrghh, thanks for replying juergen, i must have had too many flies buzzing around me in the last days, just realized i've mixed up Cecidomyiidae with Chironomidae. some time in the last days the two seem to have joined into one family in my head :P
i was referring to
this thread, but later realized i mixed it up with
a thread where you said this about tiny black wasps... i'm currently taking a mini-break from clearing a considerable sleep deficit, all will be well afterwards ;)
