This Psychodidae isn't hairy like other..
Is it Psychodidae?

It's got some typical patterns on the wings..
Very long hindlegs!, obviously..

place: Amsterdam forest

greeting Robert

Hi, this is a Chironomid female. Psychodids are fully covered with big fur.

ok, thank you walter.

''Psychodids are fully covered with big fur'', that's what I was thinking but I imagine this could be some bold one?!B)

NW European Psychodidae are 'furry', outside that area it may be another matter. Phlebotominae may be hairy, but not necessarily furry, for example.

Not 100% sure, but I think this may be Tanypus punctipennis

Thank you for your comment Tony,

I'll make it Tanypus cf. punctipennis

Some Sycorax species have been taken in Northern Europe; they are not especially hairy.
