Hi, I have a malaise in a very old and nice
Alnus-forest. These kind of Anthomyiidae are dominating at the moment. Normally most of the specimens are females but with this one, males. Any hope to find out the genus ? June 14.2009 Loviisa, Finland.

I think they are probably Lasiomma spp, not sure if they are even the same species. This is the atricaudum group of species in Lasiomma, about 4-5 species, found in northern localities across the globe. I found all of them in Abisko in Sweden in the 1990's. If you can be bothered, catch some and put them in alcohol and send them to me, and I will give you a name. Send me a private message for address.

The second photo could be Alliopsis on account of the long seta on hind tibia
