Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Pinned Pegomya geniculata, Anthomyiidae

Hi, this one was on the way to Lauxaniidae unit before I noticed the vibrissa and strange antenna. What are we looking at ? Sciomyzidae, Heleomyzidae or maybe just Anthomyiidae. Pegomya geniculata. June 10.2009 Loviisa, Finland.

I think this is Anthomyiidae, Pegomya. The legs would not be so bristily if it were an acalyptrate fly.

I think it is probably Pegomya geniculata female. The rather long antennae suggest this. Are the presutural acrostichal setae rather far apart, they are obscured by the pin?

Thank You Michael. In this case it's better to send one more picture as I can't say what is and what isn't far apart :D

That's far apart (perhaps not that far!)
