This photo was taken on 25th June 2006 in Montesinho - Portugal. (extreme Nordeast of Portugal) with nikon coolpix 3100.


Sarcophagidae family? Sarcophaga sp.?

You see 3 post DC and it seems there are no marginal bristles on T3, the second visible tergite. It is definitely a female Sarcophaga sensu lato, maybe belonging to one of the snail-parasitizing subgenera. Not further identifiable.
