Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Small Muscid

From the same habitat as the Myopina (see other thread), so alongside a big river on stones.
Very small, 3 to 4 mm. It's a muscid, but which one?

Thanks Stephane for the ID. I looked in the gallery, but the only picture there shows a specimen with very little bristles on the head and face. My specimen has, so are you sure about the name??

I think this is one of the unmistakable Muscids. The bristles are there, but they may not show up in some pics. There are
plenty more images of this species on my web site.
