Hi, is this Cylindrotoma? Bukk mountains again. If it's really Cylindrotoma, than I have 2 or 3 new families found on this Saturday in the Bukk mountains (Cylindrotomidae, Xylophagidae, maybe Periscelididae) and one new subfam (Pipunculinae). Really exciting :)

Unfortunately, this is not Cylindrotoma.
In this fly, Sc seems to be ending in C;and four branches of R (R1+2, R3, R4,and R5) are visible.
In Cylindrotomidae, usually, Sc ends in R1; two branches of R (R4 and R5) are obvious and reaching wing margin; and distal parts of R1+2 and R3 are usually atrophied or disapears.
Probably Limoniidae.

Well, thanks, I'll search for it in Limoniidae. BUT I realised that I also found Platystomatidae this Saturday and it's also a new fam for me, so the number iof new families are the same :)

Hi, I came across this older photo, and I'd like to ask if somebody can tell what it is.

Yes you're right, it's
Hexatominae/Epiphragmini, Austrolimnophila subg.
Archilimnophila (
R2 long-stalked, compare with my
A. (s.str.)
cf. ochracea in http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=22890 (
R2 short-stalked), probably
A. unica (Osten Sacken, 1869).
