This is an odd little tachinid(?) I saw today in southern England. Unfortunately it flew away before I could get a net on it but I think it must be fairly distinctive - about 5-6mm long with rounded wings.

I think you are right ... just the rounded wings got me excited - I think
Actia would be the favourite, as
Peribaea is a bit rare here. But living tachinids often look a bit different from their pinned cousins! ;)
