Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Is this a tachinid?

Jari has sent me some tiny flies from Finland, which I don't think are tachinids because they don't have a subscutellum ... but I can't rule out the very small atypical tachinids without subscutellums because I have no material to compare them with. :(

Either Melanomyia or Anthracomyia melanoptera, depending on size and scutellar bristles (both Calliphoridae).
