Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Stratiomyidae and its brood

Hello,

I found this little bugger two days ago on Isonzo delta in NE Italy. While residing in a plastic container the female deposited a mass of eggs on the side. I would much appreciate any rearing tips for eggs/larvae.

Clearly a Stratiomys.

You need an expert for Italian material, I guess
