Hello together,
yesterday in my garden, North Germany, I found this couple of flies on some waterplants. Sorry about the bad quality, but it was very windy.
Is it possible to say more than Sciomyzidae?

Reminds me of
Elgiva (a snail killer), but the eyes should be clearly striped!

Really reminds Elgiva.
Eyes not striped, because it is
Hydromya dorsalis

That's wonderful! Thanks to both of you. I've seen it the first time in my garden. But there where more of them than this couple.
Do the larvas grow in landsnails or watersnails? Cause I found all of them by the pond.
