Unfortunately no lateral view. I think this or a similar species has been posted recently as Trixa?

Difficult to say.
There are 3 post DC, but it does not look like Phorocera.
The hairs on eyes are very long indeed.
Putting this together, male Smidtia might be an option.
A lateral shot could easily confirm this .

I think this is the same as the one in this thread, So Smidtia conspersa. Naturally this fly does not look like Trixa. Actually I remembered Trixa conspersa, but I thought of Smidtia conspersa.

Is this a male?
