Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Scathophagidae? (Crete, Greece) --> Scathophaga stercoraria

I found this fly two days ago (May 3rd, 2009), resting on Helichrysum conglobatum flowers, in north-central Crete (near the village of Fodele), Greece.

I captured at least a dozen photos of this fly, so if there's any detail that you think will help you in a possible identification, let me know and I'll see if I have it in photo...

I always thought that Scathophaga stercoraria was more yellowish (and a bit bigger, too).
I stand corrected :)
