December last year, not far from Darwin. River plains with woodland. Decently-sized species. Notice huge tongue.
Whenever possible, species ID would be much appreciated!

Yes, I missed them, since I was on holiday.
Looks like a Diachlorini, so either Dasybasis or Cydistomyia.
Dasybasis is still in need of a review, so....
difficult to say.
