Hi, it is the time of the year, when these are flying with Syrphidae. I believe Egle cf. ciliata might be close :| April 11.2009 Helsinki, Finland.

Almost certainly Egle ciliata male, a good photo. Egle brevicornis and a recently described species look rather similar, both very uncommon, and one really needs to examine the genitalia to identify these two species
