Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae on dead Tetrix (might be a Lasiomma)

This little Anthomyiidae seems to "suck" a dead Tetrix. He was about 4mm, and, if I see well, there are 4 post dc and the head isn't larger than high. Could it be a male of Egle brevicornis ?

Not an Egle I think, epistoma not projecting (exception in Egle is concomitans, but I would not expect Egle to be interested in other than Sallow.. The last two photos indicate that the eyes have fine white hairs so it might be a Lasiomma, the presutural scutal narrow whitish stripes also suggest this. If you want a definite det you will have to catch a specimen! It might turn out to be completely different.
