today this Tachinid near Ghent, Belgium.
it seems typical with the red tip of the scutellum and the hairs on the lower part of the eye...

The parafacialia are quite hairy, as is the abdomen, so Smidtia (or Timavia) conspersa seems a good candidate.

There is only 1 Smidtia (in West Palaearctic).
If I could see 3 post DC, I would be 100 % sure, but even now I have little doubts.
