Hi! Today I went on a looooong trip in the Bukk mountains, NE Hungary. Among many other insects, I found some Heleomyzids, this is a presumed female (much bigger than the males also there). orest, on a rock.

Thank You for Your quick reply - Sorry for being late with this pic, but I was exhausted after this long filed trip (altogether it was 12 hours long - we got a bit lost and underestimated the distance :) but saw really interesting animals and plants). So here are the photos, I think they 'll confirm You!

Thank You very much! Interesting, I toght it was a female because it was bigger than the ones trying to land by it. Maybe those were other species. (This fly scared them away).

Hey Andrzej,

what are the features to watch out for? I think I have some similar species of this genus in my collection from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
