I've been trying to use the RES Muscid key again, but I just can't get anywhere with this specimen!
Can anyone suggest the genus?
Note: It has four bristles on the sternopleuron/katepsiternum. These four bristles are arranged in a quadrilateral shape. The arista are long plumose.
Sorry about the poor image. The wings are not yellow, that's the background - sorry I'll post better images in future!

What habitat was it from? Have you ruled out Limnophora? I'm away from home so no keys with me and no idea what sternopleural bristles Limnophora has. The shape of the antennae and the mascara under the eye reminded me of Limnophora.

Hi Nikita, Yes it is H evecta. I have managed to determine it and it has the hairs beneath the posterior spiracle. Thanks everyone for the help.
