Hello all,

Sorry, no picture. This is a Lauxaniidae with body and legs yellow, wings unmarked, arista pubescent. The striking feature is the very long ocellar bristles which are not raised but are lying down (are in contact with)the front. They reach the ptilinal suture. The specimen was captured in july 2008 in Belgium.

Is there enough informations to get a genus name? Thank you in advance for your help

Hi,
it is unpossible without picture. Ocellar bristles can be broken for example, or it is not Lauxaniidae, but something simillar. sorry, I dont know.

Thank you Katerina.

I'm pretty sure that it is a Lauxaniidae. I used a key. Ocellar bristels don't seem broken.

I know: a good picture is better than hundred words. So I will post the picture when I will have a descent camera
