Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Cecidomyiidae?

Hello,

this mite with a lenght of ~9mm (inc. wings) is from friday from a fagus-forest near Düsseldorf (germany).

Is this a Cecidomyiidae? And the genus cannot be identified from the photo?

That size, MIGHT be Cecidomyia.

thank yor for the confirmation. I will safe the pictures as unknown Cecidomyiidae and mention this perhaps-genus in the description.
