Hello!

I'm still taking pics of those medium sized, grey Muscids hoping one or two are not Phaonia tuguriorum... ;) Here is a candidate from today at a tree in our garden (northwest Germany) with not so reddish legs as the P. tuguriorum I know (compare with the third pic in this thread, also from today, which really should be it). It was also a little bit bigger (10 mm) and seemed to me more brownish than grey.

Sorry Jürgen, but this is P. tuguriorum. I hope we'll see the related P. scutellata some day.

Thanks! Slowly the dipteran fauna is becoming more diverse these days. So I am confident to find different species soon... ;)
