This fly has me baffled. I first thought it was a Sepsidae, but now I just cannot decide what it is. Can anyone suggest a family please.

Length 5mm. 20 June 2008. UK.

Apologies for poor photo, hopefully it is enough to say what family?

Why Acalypterata? It is Muscidae, genus Coenosia.
The fact that lower calypter is visible and well developed (:D) helps us to exclude C.mollicula.
I think C. testacea/infantula is most probable answer.

Nikita,
Thanks. No wonder I could not decide what it was, I was way off-track!:o
