Hi flyforum,
This afternoon I found a tiny fly on the kitchenwindow.
It seems to be a Ephydridae spec.
Is it?
size 2-3mm
Any idea about the species?

hi Tony,
This fly remember me to a similar fly of last year.
Scatella tenuicosta isn't a dutch species if I am correct..
It would be nice if I catche this fly and got some research to it..
Or could it be some other Scatella sp.?
Robert

This is
tenuicosta, rather than another species of
Scatella. It may not have been formally added to the Dutch list yet (I don't know) but it will be sooner or later.

Hi flyforum,
The fly's Identification is checked by Tony Irwin.
Scatella tenuicosta it is!
It would be nice to put this species on the ducht species list I think?
What to do next?
