I have identified this Rhagionid. If I remember correctly this is a rare species, which has never been posted at diptera.info.

A third view. This view is the best to understand the name of this species.

Well, if I identified correctly it is a different species. Much scarcer.

male Rhagio latipennis

You can the male genitalia and the eyes are separated.

Next to kin of strigosus, indeed.

Is that rare enough, Gabor ?

Well in Hungary R. latipennis certainly is rare, Even where I found it it was vastly outnumbered by R. scolopaceus.

I find the name very good, one can easliy see on the third pic how much broader the wings are than in other species.
