Thread subject: Diptera.info :: green Chironomid?

I found the colours (yellow-green thorax, light blue-green abdomen) charakteristic, but is it so?

Small, 3-4 mm long, last july.

Yes, a female Chironomid. This color and habitus would narrow down the choice of species to several dozens. The species may or may not be identifiable for the expert at the species level with a specimen. (For a large fraction of these midges only the males are identifiable to species for a few specialists.)
